Developing a Memorial Area

We have developed a plan to repopulate the trees in the green space at 11th and Sassafras Streets. If you would like to memorialize a loved one with a donation of a tree or to other beautifying elements in the area, click here to go to our e-Giving page. Just choose Green Project from the drop-down list.

The cost of each memorial tree is $500. We will be planting 5 Maple Crimson King trees and 3 Crabapple Snowdrift trees.

In addition to the trees, we are looking to improve the rest of the corner with a new sign and other landscaping. Donations are being accepted for those projects also.

Any memorials will be added to the Memorial Placard that will be placed in an oversized boulder on the corner.

Furthermore, you can sponsor the upkeep of the corner for a year at a cost of $500. This includes fertilizer for the grass, top soil, mulch, and any needed grass seeding.
