Cathedral Choir
Music Director: Mr. William Herring
The Cathedral Children's Choir is a professional choir made up of 17-20 children in grades 3 through 8. The choir sings at the St. Peter Cathedral Sunday 9:15 AM Mass at least 3 times each month during the school year. In exchange for the hard work involved in practices and performances, each choir member is eligible for a monthly stipend ranging anywhere between $30.00 - $50.00. The Children's Choir is a wonderful experience for St. Peter students. The choir receives intense training, which often leads to opportunities for major roles at the Erie Playhouse and St. Peter's own annual school production. Many of the children involved in the past have received music scholarships for high school, largely due to their involvement in our choir. Tryout rehearsals are conducted in September of each year. For more information, contact Mr. Herring at St. Peter Cathedral Church - 453.6677 or contact him via email.
