The Cathedral Choir usually sings at the 11:00 AM liturgy.  They rehearse each Sunday at 10:00 AM in the Cathedral. It is open to men and women from high School and beyond.  The choir takes a break during the summer months.

The Cathedral Choir School sings at various Sunday and weekend liturgies. This choir is composed of children from grades 4-8 from the Saint Peter Cathedral School.  The children rehearse every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:45-8:15AM.  They sing at the Saturday 5:00 PM liturgy and the Sunday 8:30 AM liturgy.  To hear young people singing in our Cathedral is one of the most beautiful sounds in the world! The choir takes a break during the summer months.

The combined Saint Peter Cathedral Choirs sang for Bishop Donald Trautman’s Twenty-Fifth Anniversary Mass as a Bishop and Twenty years as Bishop of the Diocese of Erie. The Liturgy was celebrated on Tuesday, the 13th of April, 2010. Mr. William Herring was the Organist and Choir Director. Also leading the singing at this Liturgy were six members of the Erie Philharmonic Orchestra. Cardinal Rigali, 16 visiting Bishops, and over 200 priests were in attendance.
